Digital price tags streamline and improve customer service at Buddy

An improvement in membership communication

Buddy was looking for a solution to simplify the daily management of price tags. Previously, staff had to print and manually replace paper labels, which was time-consuming and often led to errors. With digital price tags, price changes can now be automatically controlled from the store’s back-office system.

Additionally, Buddy had a strong focus on clearly displaying member prices and non-member prices on the shelves, as their membership program is an important part of their business strategy. Delfi Technologies helped them achieve this by displaying both prices on the digital tags.

By using digital price tags, Buddy Vestkanten now avoids the manual handling of price tags, which has resulted in more efficient operations. It has become easier to show the difference between member prices and non-member prices, which also helps highlight the benefits of membership.

The red color on the tags can be used to highlight member prices, which is a smart way to draw attention to offers. All of this happens automatically and is centrally managed from the store’s data system.

Easy management via user-friendly mobile app

The Buddy chain uses the BreeceGO app on their mobile phones to manage the store’s labels and wireless antennas. The app is easy to use and gives staff full control over the status of the tags, which is convenient since they always have their phones with them. When a product is sold out, the app makes it easy to link the tag to a new product, saving time and minimizing the risk of errors.

In addition to showing prices, Buddy also uses the tags to display other important information, such as membership benefits, and there are plans to include stock status. This allows the store to optimize shelf space and ensure that customers always receive relevant and up-to-date information.

More time for customer service

With the implementation of digital price tags, Buddy Vestkanten now has more time to focus on customer service. Staff no longer spend time handling and replacing paper labels, which frees up time to assist customers and enhance their shopping experience.
