Delfi Technologies enters the Austrian market with a pilot installation at the new Gutmann gas station in Thalgau

In December 2025, the newest Gutmann-OMV location in Thalgau was opened. Here, state-of-the-art technology, sustainable architecture, and exceptional comfort come together. The centerpiece is the Spar express Shop, where Delfi’s ESL solution was installed at the beginning of 2026. Within a very short time, the complete system with 1,460 ESL (1,400 ESL 2.4 and 60 EZL 2.8 Freezer) was installed and connected to the already standardized interface to Madic’s POS system, making it ready for use.

User-friendly operation as a plus

Price management is completed with just a few clicks. With a mobile device, new labels can be easily added—the correct price and product information are updated in real time. The BreeceGo app even allows the use of an iOS/Android device. Price changes are transmitted from the Madic POS system via the Delfi antenna to the ESLs. If a product changes its placement in the shop, the ESL remains in its location and does not need to be moved. At the new location, only the display placed there and the product need to be linked again via the app. The advantages of the Delfi solution become especially apparent when it comes to displaying attractive offers in the shop and bistro. For example, with fresh products, which are becoming increasingly important, the solution helps promote sales and thus avoid write-offs. But this is just one example of its versatility. Multibuy or bundle offers can also be easily displayed on the ESLs.

Time savings, greater efficiency, and legal security for the gas station

In addition to the significant time savings from eliminating manual labeling, sources of error can also be reduced. This in turn has a positive long-term effect on the shop’s profitability. Thanks to the digital price tags, you are also on the safe side legally—all mandatory information is visible, which was another criterion for Gutmann’s decision in favor of Delfi’s solution.
