What is the purpose of taking stock?
The purpose of the inventory status is to count the stock so that you have control and overview of your inventory. The purpose of the status task is not only to get an overview of the inventory at the end of the inventory count, but also to control any shrinkage in the warehouse.
For example, if you run a store that sells lamps and have purchased 500 lamps and sold 400 of them, you should have 100 items left in stock. If, on the other hand, there are only 50 items left, it is often necessary to make an inventory adjustment or write down items so that the actual inventory matches the inventory count. Inventory adjustment due to shrinkage is not an uncommon occurrence today, but you need to adjust the number down to get your stock back in line.
There can be several different reasons why your stock is not correct and why there is a difference in inventory. It could be theft, incorrect registration of returned goods or rejections/defective goods that are not registered correctly. How does stock status work with a handheld terminal?

Scanning can take place both online and offline without internet access, depending on your needs. After scanning, a comma-separated file is created with the scanned items and quantity, which is easily transferred for import into any dedicated financial system (e.g. Dynamics NAV).
