More than 40 Unieuro stores in Italy are now using the Breece system with the cloud-based ESL (electronic shelf labels) solution from Delfi Technologies – a European IT company.

With this ESL technology, Unieuro stores are able to run an omnichannel business and send real-time updates of prices and product information to all stores – in a matter of seconds.

TheBreece ESL solution and digital price tags allow store staff to focus on customer service instead of changing prices and putting up new paper labels every time there is a price or product update.

“Italy: Industria 4.0”

The fourth industrial revolution is transforming the world, bringing great opportunities but also critical challenges. The Italian Ministry of Economic Development has launched the ‘Industria 4.0 National Plan (I4.0)’, a strategy that aims to support industrial change through a series of coherent measures. The measures seek to promote investment in innovation, technology and skills development, taking into account the principles set by the fourth industrial revolution.

The government intends to design a framework for efficient and effective operations. However, the top-down approach is dependent on the extent to which entrepreneurs will embrace and utilize the proposed measures.

The pan provides a wide range of measures that together ensure the basis for an effective framework. The strategic actions focus on innovation, competitiveness and competence development.

In addition, complementary measures have been launched to support Industria 4.0’s efforts in various areas. In total, the government has earmarked 18 billion euros in funding for the initiative.
