Efficient labelling ensures traceability at AABO-IDEAL Group

AABO-IDEAL is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of customised surface treatment systems. For a company with global exports, accurate labelling and traceability are a key part of quality assurance and help ensure efficient processes and reliable deliveries.

From the factory in Vester Aaby, 40–80 customised surface treatment systems are produced each year for customers worldwide. Therefore, correct labelling is an important prerequisite for traceability and delivery reliability.

– Correct labelling is about ensuring that the right information follows the right components – every time. It is the foundation for traceability, documentation and quality, explains Jan Videbæk Madsen, Head of Compliance at AABO-IDEAL Group.

Flexible labelling for complex projects

To ensure control and support traceability, AABO-IDEAL uses a labelling solution from Delfi Technologies consisting of label printers (model: Citizen CL-S621), labels and BarTender label software.

With BarTender, the company can create standardised label templates and print consistent labels with, among other things, serial numbers, type designations, technical specifications and production data. This minimises manual handling, reduces the risk of errors and ensures that the correct information follows each component throughout the entire value chain.

For labelling, hard-wearing silver polyester labels are used, developed for demanding industrial environments and retaining their readability throughout the product’s lifetime.

The consistent labelling makes components easy to identify and supports traceability throughout the product’s entire life cycle. At the same time, the risk of errors is reduced because the necessary information is always available.
