Electro energy will continue the good growth – digital ambitions will help

Electro Energy, a technical wholesaler of, among other things, energy solutions, has ambitions to continue the good growth and develop the business. In collaboration with the IT company, Delfi Technologies, a number of digitalization projects will help realize the growth ambitions.

Since 1964, Electro Energy has provided Denmark with heat from morning bath to evening coffee. Today, Electro Energy delivers energy solutions to professional heating and cooling technicians with one of Denmark’s largest stocks of spare parts for gas and oil boilers, climate systems, heat pumps, solar heating systems and solar cell systems.

A comprehensive digitalization strategy aims to make processes easier and faster while delivering financial benefits to the business. According to Christian Gulløv, CEO of Electro Energy, it’s all about putting a human face on digitalization and growing the business while delivering an even better service. This means freeing up time for skilled employees to use their valuable competencies on exactly what they do best – instead of struggling with time-consuming and cumbersome administrative processes.

The digital journey is taking place in close collaboration with Delfi Technologies. The collaboration began 20 years ago when Electro Energy started buying scanners for vans and service tasks. Since then, Delfi Technologies has delivered various software solutions to Electro Energy – all with the aim of digitizing the business and optimizing processes for the benefit of both customers and employees.

From 24/7 self-service to efficient inventory counting

The latest digitization projects include a 24/7 self-service solution where customers can come and pick up spare parts around the clock – all year round. In collaboration with Electro Energy, Delfi Technologies has developed a store solution for registering goods, where the invoice is sent electronically.

Electro Energy and Delfi Technologies have also collaborated on developing a digital solution with handheld terminals (scanners) for more efficient inventory counting. Significant amounts of time are saved on inventory counting, as the registrations come directly back into the system and the output can be processed immediately. Previously, inventory counting was done manually on paper, which meant that it could take up to several weeks before everything was reconciled. Now the same process takes place in a matter of hours, saving both time and money.
