Louisiana streamlines their store with barcodes and label software

Louisiana Butik is one of the world’s leading museum shops, located in the heart of the museum; in fact, this is where the museum visit starts and ends, so there is a constant flow of customers through the store’s exhibitions. Here you’ll find everything from beautiful art posters, to inspiring books on architecture, to educational toys, interiors and clothing for both men and women.
LARGE PRODUCT RANGE REQUIRES A CLEAR OVERVIEW
Louisiana Butik is not just a small museum outlet in the corner of the museum, but a large store spread over two levels with an impressive range of goods that includes many different categories and products.
To register and keep track of the many products, Delfi Technologies has delivered a combined software and hardware solution to Louisiana Butik, which makes it easier to label their many thousands of products and thus create the necessary overview.
In the store warehouse, Louisiana has a Citizen label printer, CL-S700, set up for BarTender Label Software, where employees can easily and efficiently print labels with barcodes on them. They also use the smaller Zebra label printer, ZD420, to print GLS freight labels for when they occasionally send goods out from the store. In addition, they use the DelfiScan M71 to scan the barcodes into the system in the warehouse.

It was difficult to differentiate specific products, which we can now quickly do based on the barcode labels we print ourselves for the majority of our products, says Jørn Maribo, Logistics Assistant at Louisiana.
BarTender Label Software makes it possible to improve safety and efficiency as well as comply with regulations and standards when it comes to correct printing of barcodes. At Delfi Technologies, we work closely with Seagull Scientific, the brains behind BarTender.

VALUABLE COLLABORATION THAT MINIMIZES THE RISK OF ERRORS
In addition, Delfi Technologies provides continuous service on the BarTender setup so that Louisiana Butik always has updated and correct barcodes and product information on their labels.
In collaboration with Louisiana Butik, Delfi Technologies has developed various label templates that can be quickly and easily customized and corrected, but if the store suddenly needs new templates or adjustments, Delfi is ready to help.

GROWING WITH WEBSHOP IN CONNECTION WITH COVID-19
In connection with the pandemic, Louisiana has also been affected by lockdowns and restrictions, which has forced them to think in new ways; namely with a webshop to support their physical store. In just one year, the webshop has grown into a fantastic business, which is supplemented daily by the physical store with replenishments of goods.

Opened its doors in 1958 in Humlebæk, and has since then undergone 7 renovations/expansions. The desire was to create a museum where Danes could see modern art. Today, Louisiana has more than 600,000 visitors a year, making it one of Denmark’s most visited museums.
