LP Distribuzione Bevande, a leading food and beverage distributor, has teamed up with Delfi Technologies and implemented electronic shelf labels to update product information in its cash & carry store.

With more than thirty years of experience, LP Distribuzione Bevande is a trusted partner operating in the province of Catania and throughout Sicily. The distributor supplies the HoReCa (hotel, restaurant and catering) sector with thousands of different products.

The company’s mission is to be the main connection channel between producer and end consumer of beverages and food for consumption away from home, for Eastern Sicily.

The collaboration with Delfi Technologies and the use of digital price tags makes it possible to create more time for customers and advice in the cash & carry store.

Large product range is always up to date

At the LP cash & carry store in Catania province, a wide variety of customers from bars, restaurants, pizzerias, nightclubs, catering, pubs and takeaways can find a large selection of drinks and food.

Thanks to a partnership with Delfi Technologies the product information and prices of products can be automatically updated using electronic shelf labels and a wireless antenna to send new data out to the products.

The digital signs are connected directly to the ERP system in the store. When a price or product update occurs in the system, it is immediately forwarded to the store’s connected displays.

A widely used ESL solution

Breece System is developed by Delfi Technologies, a European IT company that has been in the barcode business since 1988. Today, more than 15 million electronic shelf labels (ESL) have been implemented across more than 3,500 different locations.

From supermarkets, DIY stores, pharmacies and meeting rooms, digital signs are now used to save time and update information in real-time.
