Temperature labels or temperature indicator labels are designed to display temperatures on packaging for food and medical supplies, or on components during research, repair, and maintenance.

Heat exposure can degrade the effectiveness of many temperature-sensitive medical products, such as vaccines and biological products. Even a gradual change in the product’s temperature over time can affect its desired performance. Products like injectable medicines, adhesives, and sealants require cooling to maintain their effectiveness, but it is recommended to use them at room temperature for optimal performance.

Apply Zebra temperature labels with time-temperature indicators to monitor heat exposure over time. They can monitor instantaneous or prolonged exposure at or beyond a threshold temperature.

Temperature labels can also indicate when a product requiring cooling approaches room temperature.

Temperature Indicators

There are small, self-adhesive temperature monitoring indicators that can be applied directly to temperature-sensitive products. They gradually change color as heat exposure accumulates. When the gradual color change exceeds the reference color, the user can identify if the product has exceeded its temperature limit.

Some companies also need to monitor temperature during shipment. In these cases, temperature labels can be used effectively to identify temperature deviations.

Typically, most types of labels and stickers have a removable backing paper that can be peeled off like a sticker. A linerless label is ready to be applied as soon as it is printed. This type of label has a special adhesive that allows the label to be removed from the roll without leaving any sticky residue on the roll itself.
