Labeling software tags thousands of pieces of jewelry at Aqua Dulce

Danish-established jewelry brand Aqua Dulce produces and delivers thousands of pieces of jewelry to their wholesale and online customers every month. With a large product range and many shipments, picking and storage errors can occur, which can ultimately cost the company money. Therefore, they have implemented a complete label and barcode solution that now provides the necessary overview.

Janne Lisberg Fisker founded the jewelry brand, Aqua Dulce, 17 years ago. She designs, sells and oversees the thousands of pieces of jewelry sold in Scandinavia and around Europe – and she always keeps a sharp and detail-oriented eye on all processes, which should be run as flawlessly and efficiently as possible.

LARGE PRODUCT RANGE REQUIRES A CLEAR OVERVIEW – ALSO FOR CUSTOMERS

This led to a sudden need for a better product overview; she lacked barcodes and labels on her jewelry bags. Therefore, she proactively started researching the possibilities of implementing barcode labels on all her products. In her eager search, she found Delfi Technologies after getting her barcodes from GS1.

Delfi Technologies quickly grabbed the ball and guided her in the direction of BarTender Label Software and a label printer, Citizen CL-E321, and corresponding labels. The sharp jewelry designer had already designed the look of the label she wanted for the small plastic bags containing jewelry that are sent to the brand’s wholesale customers.

LABEL SOFTWARE AUTOMATES PROCESSES AND MINIMIZES ERRORS

To design and develop the perfect label for Aqua Dulce’s needs, they invested in the powerful labeling software, BarTender Automation Edition through Delfi Technologies. This edition automates the entire process from inserting the right information and barcode on the label to the label printer printing the special labels that can then mark the jewelry bags.

Janne just needs all the product information and barcodes in an Excel sheet, which she can then print directly to get the special labels. The Excel sheet is connected to the BarTender label software, which uses the information and adapts it to the label.

– Our labeling solution minimizes picking errors as we can now quickly differentiate products, sizes and colors from each other. Previously, we only had a small paper label with the item number on our bags, and typing errors could quickly occur in our systems as the 4-digit item numbers could look similar,” says Janne.
