Behind every bouquet from Gamst Blomster – a Danish flower shop with roots dating back to 1903 – runs a tightly tuned logistics engine. When the pace is high and the assortment changes daily, accurate labeling is the key to maintaining oversight and delivering freshness on time.
For more than 120 years, Gamst Blomster has focused on quality, craftsmanship and aesthetics. The company began as a nursery and has since evolved into a modern retail and distribution business with a presence in some of Denmark’s most exclusive supermarkets, including MENY, Kvickly and Salling. In addition, it operates its own stores in Frederiksberg Centret, Kolding Storcenter, Lyngby Storcenter, Amager Centret and RO’s Torv in Roskilde.
Gamst Blomster operates as a shop‑in‑shop flower retailer in selected supermarkets and department stores. The flowers are delivered directly from growers in Europe, eliminating intermediaries and benefiting both consumers and the environment. This places high demands on assortment, freshness and delivery reliability.
From the warehouse and logistics department in Taastrup, flowers and bouquets are distributed daily to stores across the country. The pace is intense, and mistakes cost time, money and quality. That’s why accurate and consistent labeling is essential.
Gamst Blomster uses a labeling solution from Delfi Technologies, where BarTender label software is employed for designing, configuring and managing labels and tags in various sizes and formats. With BarTender, the company can easily adjust layouts, ensure consistency and quickly update information – all without manual errors.
When flower trolleys are packed and prepared for delivery to stores across the country, shipping labels are printed directly on the dedicated label printer (Citizen CL‑S521). Each label includes a clear recipient address and all relevant shipment details, enabling staff to quickly see where each trolley needs to go.
The result is a more streamlined logistics flow, fewer errors and faster handling – without compromising on quality.
