Calumet: Digital Price Tags from Delfi Technologies

“By using the digital price tags, our store immediately looks tidier and more valuable. We are excited about how quick and easy the setup is and it can be implemented directly on the shelf. In addition, the price tags save our team a lot of time when changing prices as the items do not need to be relabeled,” says Kai Willimsohn (Store Manager at CALUMET Photographic). The different sizes make it possible to meet all desired labeling requirements professionally and easily. In the Dresden and Hamburg stores, four different sizes of the Chroma Aeon series(Chroma 21, 29, 42 and 74) are used. From the Chroma 21, which is used on wall hooks (whether slotted or perforated walls), to the large Chroma 74, which has enough space for detailed information.

Thanks to the interface between the inventory management system and Delfis software, price tags always show current prices and are updated immediately when prices change. Offers and promotions are also automatically updated, saving employees from having to place them on the shelves or the goods during working hours. Therefore, the introduction in store number 3 in Nuremberg is already planned and will be implemented soon.

The BreeceGo app from Delfi Technologies makes it easy for Calumet employees to manage digital price tags. The app enables retailers to link products and labels directly on the shelf. Even layout changes to the design of the labels can be made via the app. “Our staff is thrilled with how easy it is to operate the digital price tags. Even new products are uploaded into the labeling system via the existing company smartphone,” says Kai Willimsohn. This saves a lot of time for competent customer service.

Delfi Technologies’ antennas communicate with the digital price tags via radio waves, ensuring a stable connection that transmits current prices and product information to the tags. The antennas are easy to install and have a high range – up to 5000 m² per antenna. For the sales areas in Hamburg and Dresden, each with approximately 400 square meters, this means that one antenna is sufficient for the entire area.
