New flagship store raises the standard for electronics retail in Greenland

The new Elgiganten in Nuuk demonstrates how technology, local insight, and Nordic retail discipline can elevate electronics retail in Greenland to a new level.

In late summer 2025, Elgiganten moved into larger and more modern premises – a strategic upgrade from Pisiffik, Greenland’s leading retail group. The store offers customers more space, stronger product displays, and a guidance-driven shopping experience.

A modern store where customers can experience the latest in appliances, TVs and audio, gaming, smart home, mobile, and IT equipment all in one place – with the opportunity to test, compare, and receive guidance before making a choice.

As a central part of Pisiffik’s portfolio of store concepts, the store serves as the group’s electronics and appliance concept. It combines Elkjøp Nordic’s proven retail model with Pisiffik’s local operational and logistical expertise – where global best practices meet Arctic reality.

Elgiganten Nuuk is part of Pisiffik a/s – Greenland’s leading retail chain with over 800 employees and 13 different store concepts, comprising more than 50 stores in Greenland’s six largest cities. The chain also operates Greenland’s largest webshop, offering more than 14,000 products online.

A new store designed for experience

The new premises provide space for clear product zones, hands-on testing, and even better guidance. Customers can compare solutions and make informed choices across categories such as appliances, IT, and home electronics – in an environment where product knowledge and service are at the center.

For this reason, digital price management was integrated from day one. With digital price tags from Delfi Technologies, all prices and promotions are managed centrally and updated live – without manual work and without the risk of errors.

The result is a store that responds quickly, spends less time on administration, and more time on customers. Employees can focus on guidance and product demonstrations – crucial in categories where knowledge and service drive sales.
