MENY Toften: Modern food mecca of absolute top class

Valby’s new food mecca has arrived in town with the Danish opening of MENY Toften at a busy traffic hub near Toftegaards Plads. MENY Toften is MENY’s 115th store in Denmark, and the chain expects to open two more MENY stores in 2024 in Skovlunde and Grenå.

In Valby’s new culinary oasis, you can experience the best of MENY. The nearly 1400 square meter new store offers unique experiences and inspiring assortment, including a butcher department, delicatessen, fishmonger, Bodenhoff bakery, as well as an extensive selection of specialties, beverages, and much more.

MENY is part of Dagrofa, a group that operates several different retail chains, including MENY, Spar, Min Koebmand, and Let-Koeb. The MENY chain was launched in 2009 by Dagrofa and has since established itself as one of Denmark’s leading supermarket chains, focusing on quality, service, and food experiences.

MENY Toften is no exception – here, a strong team of passionate employees is ready to assist customers with high expertise, superb quality, a special assortment, and plenty of inspiration.

"Our digital price tags are a valuable resource that enables employees to focus even more on delivering high-quality customer service and personal advice. It helps to enhance the customer experience."

Tim Velic Grocer at MENY Toften

Digital price tags enhance the customer experience

MENY Toften has chosen to implement digital price tags from Delfi Technologies to create a dynamic and updated shopping experience for customers. At the same time, it streamlines the daily routines for employees and frees up time to deliver the excellent service that characterizes MENY.

Automating prices and product information ensures that shelves always have accurate and up-to-date information. This frees up employees’ time to focus on other important tasks in the store.

– Our digital price tags are a valuable resource that enables employees to focus even more on delivering high-quality customer service and personal advice. It helps to enhance the customer experience, says Tim Velic, the grocer at MENY Toften.

Avoid the queue with Scan & Pay concept

With the chain’s “Scan & Pay” concept, customers can save time at the checkout by using the MENY app to scan items, pack them along the way, and pay directly in the app.. After the payment is approved, customers can bypass the checkout line by showing the screen to an employee. Some stores even have a “Scan & Pay” gate, where customers simply scan their screen on their way out.

On the digital price tags, customers also have the option to scan the barcode of the corresponding item directly from the signs, which are marked with “Scan & Pay.”

– In addition to providing updated prices to our customers, we can also use the digital price tags to improve our communication with customers, as we can display much more than just a price, says Tim Velic and continues:

– In this way, we have the opportunity to convey additional information and messages to our customers in a more efficient and engaging manner.
