More speed, fewer interruptions: One solution has changed everyday life at SPAR Vissenbjerg

At SPAR in Vissenbjerg, internal communication has become significantly faster in the town’s grocery store. With wireless VoCoVo headsets and intelligent push buttons from Delfi Technologies, the store has streamlined collaboration among employees and reduced customer waiting times.

Previously, they had to run through the store to find each other. Today, messages go straight into employees’ ears. Both customers and employees can feel the difference.

– We mainly use our new headsets for internal communication in the store, where it has now become faster and easier to help each other, says employee Naja Kragelund Hansen, who has been part of the store for several years.

At SPAR Vissenbjerg, local presence is a central part of the experience. Many customers are greeted by name, and several employees have worked in the store for many years. For Naja, the workplace also has a more personal meaning, as her sister has worked in the store.

Faster assistance at the checkout

Previously, even small questions could create waiting time. If a customer asked for an item or wanted help at the checkout, an employee often had to be called over in person or via the PA system. After that, the person would have to go out into the store to look into the matter.

With the Kvik Kald solution from Delfi Technologies, communication takes place directly via headsets.

– We can quickly call and ask a colleague: “Do we have more of this in stock?” instead of running back and forth, says Naja.

This means faster answers, less waiting time and a smoother workday. At the same time, customers are spared repeated loudspeaker calls in the store.

One press sends the message straight through

As part of the solution, SPAR Vissenbjerg has also installed wireless push buttons at, among other places, the bottle return machine and the goods receiving area.

Here, both customers and drivers can quickly call for assistance or announce their arrival with a single press.

The message is sent directly to employees’ headsets, where a colleague can respond immediately.

This reduces waiting time and creates better flow in the store – especially during busy periods.

Local retailer with a focus on service

Although technology has changed workflows, the focus is still on personal service and the local relationship with customers.

The store is strongly rooted in the local community, and personal service is an important part of everyday life.

– We are on a first-name basis with many of our customers, and the local relationship means a great deal to us. It is also a big part of the reason why many choose to come back and shop here, says Morten Andersen, who is the retailer at the town’s grocery store.

When employees can help each other internally more quickly, it creates more capacity on the shop floor and more time for customers.

The result is a calmer store, faster response and a customer experience that feels more personal – even when the pace is high.
