Cykelexperten: Full Control over Prices and Inventory – without Hassle

When prices change several times a day and the range includes thousands of items, one incorrect price tag quickly becomes a problem. For Cykelexperten – one of Denmark’s largest bicycle retailers – manual labeling had become a bottleneck, stealing time from both customers and operations.

Cykelexperten has grown from a small corner shop in 2004 to now operating a 1,500 m² Megastore in Vanløse with over 700 bikes on display and a large online shop. Customers switch freely between online and in-store and expect accurate, consistent information – no matter where they shop.

But while the online shop adjusted prices continuously, the paper tags in the store remained unchanged. With thousands of item numbers, manual updating was simply unrealistic. Customers often had questions about prices, employees made manual lookups, and small interruptions accumulated in daily life.

From Price Chaos to Full Synchronization

Digital price tags from Delfi Technologies changed everything. The tags are easily connected to the store’s items via an app (BreeceGo) and automatically fetch price and inventory status directly from Cykelexperten’s systems, so the store’s tags are updated the moment the online shop changes prices.

Already during the startup, the team noticed the difference:

The tags also contain QR codes, allowing customers to quickly find additional information on the online shop.
