At MENY Haslev, the noise has been removed — and the pace and overview have been turned up. With wireless headsets and intelligent push‑buttons from Delfi Technologies, communication has become instant, invisible and far more efficient.
MENY Haslev has rethought communication. Announcements over the loudspeaker are a thing of the past. Instead, communication now goes straight into employees’ ears via wireless headsets and intelligent push‑buttons.
The Kvik Kald solution from Delfi Technologies has significantly transformed both workflows and the overall customer experience.
— We should have implemented this much earlier. It’s had a bigger impact on our everyday work than I expected, says store owner Jacob Toftlund.
Previously, staff were regularly called over the store’s loudspeaker system — a solution that created noise and disrupted the customer experience. Today, communication is unified and handled more discreetly through VoCoVo headsets, which all employees are now equipped with.
— Previously, we used the store’s loudspeaker system much more often. It disturbed both customers and employees. Today, everything happens far more discreetly via headsets, explains Jacob Toftlund.
Employees are now constantly connected and able to respond immediately.
The new Kvik Kald solution means employees can reach each other instantly without having to move around the store. According to the store owner, it saves time and ensures faster responses for customers.
— We can reach each other instantly. It makes a big difference in our daily work — and customers get help faster.

As part of the solution, wireless push‑buttons have been installed at key locations in the store — including the bottle return area, parcel pickup, and collection of “yes‑please” offers. Here, customers can request assistance with a single press.
Instead of a loudspeaker announcement, the message is sent directly to the employees’ headsets, where one of them quickly responds that the task is being handled.
The message goes straight into the employees’ headsets — without using the loudspeaker. A staff member responds and is on the way.
— Kunderne slipper for at lede efter en medarbejder. De trykker bare på knappen, og så ved vi med det samme, at der er brug for hjælp — og hvem der tager opgaven, fortæller Jacob Toftlund.

When everyone hears communication in real time, knowledge is shared instantly.
Questions and answers don’t stop with a single employee — they become shared. This means the same issues don’t have to be investigated again and again.
If one person asks whether an item is in stock, everyone hears the answer. Next time, anyone can respond immediately.
— You’re constantly learning from what the others say. It means we’re better prepared next time, says Jacob Toftlund.
It reduces interruptions, minimizes internal search time, and raises the overall level of knowledge.

The effect is clear: faster service, better coordination, and a calmer store.
For MENY Haslev, the investment hasn’t just streamlined operations — it has genuinely improved the customer experience in practice.
A collaboration between the KFI Retail Foundation and Delfi Technologies makes it easier for independent grocers to invest in Kvik Kald with wireless headsets and call buttons.
Through a support scheme, a large share of the costs for both equipment and training can be covered, significantly reducing the initial investment. This allows shop owners in chains like MENY, SPAR, and Min Købmand to implement solutions like this more quickly — strengthening operations, raising the service level, and improving overall job satisfaction.
MENY is a Danish supermarket chain focused on quality, fresh produce, and strong local roots. The chain consists of independent grocers who run their own stores with significant freedom to tailor both the assortment and the customer experience to the local community.
