Pharmaceutical manufacturer upgrades labels with unique label solution

Chr. Olesen Synthesis, a Danish producer of APIs and advanced intermediates for the pharmaceutical industry, increases traceability and security by using customized labels and smart label software.

Chr. Olesen Synthesis uses an advanced, but effective label solution from Delfi Technologies to handle, display and control labels.

Labeling improves control

All received goods are given quarantine status upon receipt and marked with a label, designed with red dotted lines. This also applies to manufactured goods, which are also marked with a quarantine label, designed with red dotted lines.

When the goods can be released by QA, they are given a special green label that only the QA department can print from their Citizen label printers.

The necessary overview and traceability

All handling and printing of labels takes place in an Enterprise version of the label software BarTender from Seagull Scientific. Using this software solution, Chr. Olesen Synthesis can design different label templates, depending on the types of products and in which areas they are to be used.

The company also has the opportunity to integrate data from the financial system and thereby reduce the number of manual tasks.
