Mestergruppen has entered into a group agreement with Delfi Technologies for a digital signage solution
One of Scandinavia’s largest DIY groups has entered into a strategic partnership with the IT company Delfi Technologies for a digital signage solution for its member stores.
Among Mestergruppen’s member stores in Norway and Sweden are chains such as XL-BYGG, Byggtorget, Fargerike, Kulør, Mal Proff and VVS Norge.
– We want to use digital price tags in our DIY stores to streamline work processes and free up time that we can spend with our customers. The choice fell on Delfi Technologies because of price, short delivery time, good customer service and because they have a good solution for reusing labels, says Håvard Persen, Category Manager at Mestergruppen.

Efficient price control and real-time updates
The solution from Delfi Technologies has a number of business opportunities and benefits. The digital price tags make it possible to update prices and product information in real-time. In addition to creating a more streamlined workflow for employees, it also helps to make the customer experience more informative, with always up-to-date information – benefiting both customers and employees.
One of the biggest benefits is the complete price control. Instead of performing the time-consuming task of manually changing prices on each shelf, employees can do it with a single tap in the ERP system. Prices are adjusted in real-time to match current promotions or changes in the market, such as changing purchase prices. Stores can also react faster to competitors’ prices and adjust their own promotions and prices in real-time.
The digital signage solution can also be used to highlight special offers and promotions. Featured prices, logos and stock displays can attract attention and increase sales of selected items.
Synchronized prices with the webshop
It is also possible to synchronize prices with the webshop. When there is a promotional item on the webshop, the price is also updated in the store. This ensures that customers can always be sure to get the same price in-store as online.
Efficient inventory management and waste reduction
Another benefit the system provides is improved inventory management. The digital price tags are integrated with the store’s ERP system, where the amount of stock on the labels in the stores is now also visible. This way, customers and employees can quickly get an overview of the products and current stock levels.
Directly on the shelf, employees can see if there are more items in stock, so they don’t have to waste unnecessary time going to the warehouse to check. If the shelf is empty and it says that the item is in stock, the customer can also be made aware that this item may be double-exposed and may be located elsewhere in the store, or an employee can help retrieve the item from the warehouse. Once an item is sold, inventory is automatically updated in real-time.
Advanced technology made simple
The solution from Delfi Technologies is designed with a user-friendly approach to make operation as seamless as possible. Installation is plug-and-play and requires minimal effort. No need to worry about complex installations or technical challenges – simply connect an antenna to an internet socket, mount the digital price signs on the shelves, and then connect products and labels with the Delfi app, BreeceGo. The signs then automatically receive product information and prices. A battery life of up to 10 years also ensures you don’t have to worry about frequent replacements.
