Obeta equips more stores with Delfi ESL solution

In October 2024, the Berlin-based electrical wholesaler equipped its store in Hamburg-Harburg as the third location with the Delfi ESL solution. In the 621 m² store, approximately 3,500 digital price signs in three different sizes (Chroma16, 27 and 74) were installed. Delfi also provided the various mounting systems required for the existing shelving systems.

Flexibility is a great benefit for employees

“With this technology, we have professionalized the whole system of price display and price updating in the store,” says Dennis Przybilla, who is pleased with the numerous improvements and benefits. The different display types and sizes make it possible to present the different product ranges at the POS in the best possible way. “We can create customized designs and even decide whether to show one or more items on a single display (multifacing), depending on the display type. This ensures that the correct price is always clearly displayed for the right product,” continues Dennis Przybilla.

User-friendly operation with BreeceGo app

Another big advantage is the ease of use. The entire system was delivered by Delfi as a pre-configured “plug & play solution.” This meant that the complete system could be installed and ready to use in no time. After the Dynamic Communicator (868 MHz – capable of covering up to 5,000 m² sales area with one antenna) was installed, the team at the Harburg store – with the support of Max Wichelmann (Sales, Delfi) – was able to install all labels in a few hours. In addition, the team received simultaneous training on the BreeceGo app. The assignment of labels to the desired products is done with just a few clicks. New labels can easily be added with a mobile device.

Even iOS/Android devices, including private smartphones, can be used with the app. Regular price updates required by suppliers’ price changes are automatically synchronized in real-time via the Delfi interface between the inventory management system and the POS system. If a product changes shelf location in the store, the ESL remains in place and is simply assigned to the new product on the shelf. “This makes replenishment and efficient use of the sales area much easier,” says Dennis Przybilla.

The monthly costs are manageable. In return, the significant time savings and the reduction of errors caused by incorrect price displays mean that the investment has a positive impact on profitability in the long term. Thanks to Delfi’s digital price tags, you are also legally on the safe side – all mandatory information required by price labeling regulations is clearly displayed. These benefits are reason enough to proceed with the installation in the fourth store in Mainz in December 2024.
