Optimized store operations at ICA with electronic shelf labels from Delfi Technologies

ICA Supermarket Sävedalen has chosen to invest in electronic shelf labels from Delfi Technologies to streamline store operations and improve the customer experience. The decision was made based on positive experiences from other ICA stores already using the Delfi Breece ESL system, highlighting its reliability and ease of use.

The Breece solution integrates seamlessly with ICA’s StoreOffice/BOB system, meaning that price and product information is automatically updated both at checkout and directly on the shelves. This saves time, reduces errors and allows staff to focus more on customer service and other important tasks in the store.

Delfi Technologies is a certified supplier to ICA Sweden and offers electronic shelf labels through their Breece solution. Price and product changes are made in StoreOffice/BOB and are automatically updated both at the checkout and on the shelves – this includes the store automatically receiving multi-prices on the signs with the Breece solution.

Flexible communication with customers

The Breece system allows the store to customize the information displayed on the shelf labels. This flexibility ensures that customers always have access to up-to-date and relevant information directly on the shelves. This includes:

  • Member prices and offers
  • Multiprice
  • Stock status
  • Sold out at supplier
  • Locally produced
  • Lowest 30-day price
  • Other store specific information

Easy administration via mobile app

With the Breece Go app, store staff can also manage the system directly from their mobile or a handheld terminal. A user-friendly approach that makes it easy to manage updates and ensures the system is always up to date.

With the Breece Go app, staff can update and customize messages on shelf labels in real-time, ensure all prices match those in the POS system, and adjust display settings to comply with price marketing regulations.

Continuous optimization and future-proofing

One of the advantages of the Breece system is its ability to adapt to new needs and implement updates automatically. This means that the store always has access to the latest features without the need for external solutions or time-consuming manual adjustments.
