MENU FREDERIKSSUND
Menu has been upgraded
The local MENY store in Frederikssund has got electronic price tags. According to grocer Per Christiansen, it’s an upgrade that benefits both customers and employees.
Today, many stores and grocers now use electronic price tags, but at MENY in Frederikssund, the grocer has deliberately waited until now before replacing paper with a digital solution.
Grocer Per Christiansen’s MENY store has installed the new solution after years of waiting for the right technology, which is now operational.
After the switch from paper to digital signs, it has been particularly important that customers can clearly read the new signs – and according to the merchant, they can.
– A lot has happened with the development of electronic shelf labels, and the new signs are much easier to read – that’s one of the reasons why we waited. The timing of the technology has been just right for us now, says Per Christiansen.
Per has been running the store since 1991, so he is an experienced merchant who today manages the approximately 70 employees who work in the store.
"I'm very pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to work with the solution. It's especially a huge relief when the campaigns change. It's a lot of work we don't have to do."
BETTER OPPORTUNITIES TO IMPROVE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Today, the same solution with electronic price tags is also in operation at more than 240 of Per’s grocery store colleagues in Dagrofa. The solution is delivered by Delfi Technologies.
– After implementing the electronic shelf labels, we have much better opportunities to improve our customer service and ensure a customer-friendly experience in our business, says Per Christiansen and continues
– I am very pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to work with the solution. It’s especially a huge relief when the campaigns change. It’s a lot of work that we don’t have to do.
AN ADVANTAGE TO ELIMINATE PRICE ERRORS AT CHECKOUT
As another benefit, the merchant mentions that he looks forward to eliminating price errors at the checkout now that all prices are automatically updated on the shelves. In this way, the store avoids the risk of sudden errors at the checkout due to forgotten or completely overlooked signs in the store.
– The fact that we can now also eliminate price errors at the checkout is of great importance. This is yet another factor that allows us to improve the experience for our customers,” concludes Per Christiansen.
