Supervin: Jutland’s largest wine store has success with digital price tags
In Hjørring, Supervin is selling lots of wine over the counter. The company’s popular webshop accounts for 90 percent of its turnover, which has required new digital initiatives in the store. Supervin has therefore implemented digital price tags from Delfi Technologies.
Supervin operates on the principle of having wine at eye level. This means that there must be room for everyone, which is also reflected in the store’s large range of around 5,000 different wines with something for everyone and in different price ranges.
In its infancy 15 years ago, Supervin began as an experimental element of a larger SuperBest store. They started importing a small amount of wine and selling it online. Since then, it has really taken off. The SuperBest store became Supervin, there has been a huge growth in the online wine trade and today the business has a turnover in the millions.
Supervin would much rather send a happy customer out the door with good wines at attractive prices than overcharge for individual bottles of wine. That’s why you’ll find shopping carts at the entrance, just like in supermarkets. There are a lot of promotions and offers going on, for example, where you can buy six bottles of wine for a special price.

The good offers must also be visible
With the ever-increasing online success, it is increasingly important that there is synergy between the webshop and the physical store. Supervin has therefore synchronized all prices, offers and promotions so that the customer is always guaranteed the same good prices in the store that are also available on the webshop. This has been made possible with digital price tags from Delfi Technologies.
With the digital price tags, the store can highlight and make web prices visible in the store. With an integration to the ERP system and webshop, all prices and promotions are automatically distributed to the digital price tags within seconds – from the moment a price is changed on the webshop.

Simple and mobile solution
At Supervin, staff can easily and quickly assign digital price tags to a new wine using the Delfi mobile app. The app can be used on both handheld terminals, but also directly on employees’ smartphones. The pairing between label and wine is handled by simply scanning the label’s barcode and then the wine.
All price and product information will then be automatically updated when the webshop’s prices are changed, and it is also possible to change the layout of the signs directly via the app. A wireless antenna connected to the store’s network ensures that all updates are sent out to the approximately 5,000 digital signs that the store has set up.
