Digital solutions support quooker growth and product flow

At Quooker Skandinavien A/S, distributor of “the faucet that does it all”, they are experiencing great progress and a massive flow of goods in and out of the head office in Rødovre. A major logistical task, where errors cost valuable employee time – both in the reception area, in the workshop and in the warehouse. Therefore, Quooker uses a logistics solution from Delfi Technologies to ensure correct registrations and labeling of the company’s product range.

Quooker has become a recognized brand, with many people today choosing to invest in an innovative and quality-assured faucet from Quooker. For Quooker, it is important to make everyday life easier for its customers, which is why the company’s faucets can, among other things, supply customers with directly tapped boiling water and chilled water with and without soda.

EVERYDAY LIFE SHOULD BE EASIER – ALSO INTERNALLY AT QUOOKER

Quooker’s vision is to make everyday life easier for their customers, but they also need efficient solutions in the office and warehouse in Rødovre.

Due to the increasing popularity and demand for Quooker’s products, the company is growing steadily – and the flow of goods is following suit. Quooker’s IT department supports the need for digitization of all processes to optimize employee time and efficiency. This, among other things, with Delfi’s products and services.

In collaboration with Delfi Technologies, Quooker has implemented a logistics solution with label printers in the warehouse, spare parts warehouse and workshop, where special labels are printed for containers and shipping labels. In addition, barcode scanners are used to scan and register the barcodes on the container labels.

NEED SPECIAL LABELS FOR SUSTAINABLE CONCEPT

Quooker has developed a smart, sustainable concept, Quooker SWOP, which is an exchange service for existing customers whose water tank is in need of service. Quooker will replace the old tank with a newly renovated tank that has already been serviced.

The old container is delivered to Quooker’s reception where it is scanned and registered in the system with the barcode scanner, DelfiScan M81, after which it can be serviced at the workshop.

The workshop prints a new SWOP label using the label printer, Citizen CL-S631 with BarTender label software, which is applied to the newly serviced container ready to be SWOP’d out to a new customer.

The special SWOP labels needed more features than Quooker could design themselves, which is why Delfi Technologies supported with the smart BarTender label software, where you can easily customize and design labels. Here, Delfi Technologies provides ongoing support so that Quooker’s SWOP labels are always printed in the best quality and in accordance with the rules for labeling.

HIGH PRODUCT FLOW AND GROWTH

Quooker’s positive growth naturally means that more and more goods are coming into the warehouse. To keep track of the many orders in the warehouse, the small, handheld scanner Delfi PM3 is used to scan the goods to be shipped, after which the employees print shipping labels with the Citizen CL-S621 label printer.

Due to the congestion in both the warehouse and the office in Gentofte, Quooker has just moved to new, larger facilities with a large office environment and a 1200 sqm warehouse in Rødovre, which is ready to support the massive growth and provide better conditions for employees and the growing flow of goods.
